Independent Platform & Trademark Disclosures
SetRecall Journal is an autonomous editorial project. References to proprietary hardware and software platforms—including but not limited to Serato DJ Pro, Pioneer DJ, Rekordbox, Traktor Pro, Engine DJ, Ableton Live, Denon DJ, and macOS/Windows audio architectures—are made strictly for nominative identification, interoperability analysis, and informational commentary.
All trademarks, registered trademarks, product names, logos, and brand assets cited across our articles, guides (including the Serato History Guide), and session studies remain the exclusive property of their respective trademark holders. Their mention does not imply sponsorship, certification, commercial endorsement, or operational partnership by those companies.

Audio Recording, Musical Works & Copyright Notice
SetRecall Journal does not host, broadcast, sell, distribute, or stream copyrighted master sound recordings, phonograms, or full-length digital audio files. All metadata references—including artist names, release titles, record label catalog numbers, ISRC codes, key signatures, and BPM markers—are documented under statutory fair use guidelines for historical study, critical review, and performance critique.
Session reports in Session Recalls and comparative track analyses examine playlist structure, sequencing transitions, and room dynamics. If you are an artist, rights owner, or publishing entity with inquiries regarding catalog citations or metadata attribution, please refer to our administrative protocols in the About SetRecall Journal dossier.
03
Accuracy of Session Playlists & Planned vs Played Data
While our editors make every effort to extract raw cue data, hardware session timestamps, and exact playlist chronologies directly from export files, real-world club and broadcast environments introduce inherent discrepancies. Hardware clock variations, manual emergency bailouts, unlogged back-to-back guest appearances, and cue overwrites can lead to minor sequence divergences.
Case analyses such as those reviewed in Planned vs Played reflect the documented state of the performance at the moment of retrospective reconstruction. We provide no guarantee that cataloged cues or performance decisions will produce identical audio outcomes in alternative venue acoustic environments or software versions.
04
Hardware, Firmware & Software Technical Guidance
Any commentary regarding audio interfaces, latency settings, buffer sizes, library backup automation, USB drive formatting, or firmware performance is derived from individual bench testing and operational field experience. Technical variables such as operating system patches, USB hub chipset variances, drive corruption, and acoustic room modes remain unpredictable.
You assume full responsibility for software updates, database file backups, hardware cabling, and electrical grounding at your events. SetRecall Journal and its contributors disclaim all liability for software crashes, library loss, corrupt crates, audio dropouts, or hardware malfunctions encountered before, during, or after performance situations.
05

Our breakdowns may feature hyperlinks pointing to third-party streaming archives, digital record stores, hardware manufacturer documentation, or independent selector profiles. SetRecall Journal does not manage, verify, or assume responsibility for the continuous availability, legal status, or privacy practices of external web domains.
Following outbound links to streaming services or external stores is undertaken at your sole discretion. For additional terms regarding data treatment and site usage, consult our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
